Michael Domino has nurtured a lifelong interest in photography began writing poetry fifteen years ago which evolved into short stories and then novellas and a novel. His writing topics are diverse and range to Manhattan street life, to The Vietnam War, 1930’s Gangsters to death-defying Wingsuit flyers. He then began to make short films based on his stories and books which led to his first short feature The Expediter 40 minutes, Mott Haven 96 minutes and now Camp Hero with plans to begin filming on location in Montauk and Manhattan during the Fall of 2020.

His first feature film Mott Haven: Cash for Keys is a Bronx-centric redemption story starring Hollywood Actors Robert Davi, Paul Wilson, and Chuck Zito. The film received the People’s Choice award at Chandler Film Festival. He is currently working on his second feature-length film titled Camp Hero about a cynical former NYPD detective whose life has fallen to pieces and he finds himself away from his dark sanctuary of New York City’s underbelly and way out at “The End”, Montauk Point, where a simple case evolves into one with complex consequences. His screenplay for the film was adapted into a novel and is currently available in paperback and on Kindle.

Michael was born in New York City, raised in Huntington, Long Island, is married to his wife of 30 years Betty and has three grown daughters and a very proud and active grandfather. He splits his time between Manhattan and Central Florida and is still involved in his plastics recycling company based in Port Jefferson, New York.
